Details about the building
The Puskás Ferenc Stadion is a four hundred metres long, fifty metres wide, and thirty metres high multi-purpose venue. The viewing aera, made of concrete, enlarged to accommodate 83000 guests in 1959, rests on eighteen huge pillars. The press terrace, covered in 1990, can seat 300 people, while the television- and radio booths at the home stretch of the athletic track offer workstations for 36 people.
The Puskás Ferenc Stadion is the largest satdium in Hungary, equipped with the most up-to-date security system, with overthrow-resistant emergency exits on the fence. It offers grass and tartan track surfaces, and can accommodates56000 participants, 41500 of which is UEFA capacity.
The Hungarian National Team uses the stadium as a training facility. The building offers two soccer locker rooms, each accommodating 35 people, a pool, workout stations and showers. Five smaller dressing rooms are also available, jointly serving 100 people.
